From the start, there is a need to move into the new month with the intention of making a balance between work and play a priority and not just for the coming month. Because the Sun will always spend the first three weeks of May in your work sector, the solar spotlight is always not just on work and job matters at this time of year, but on the busy side of life's fence in general. Held back by a retrograde phase Mercury won't return until 16th May, meaning that even though the Sun will leave on 21st May and Venus on 24th May, when Jupiter leaves on 26th and wraps up his 12 month quest for job growth and expansion, he will keep the seat warm.
While this is likely to be the busiest month of the year so far, there are even busier times ahead. When Mars returns next month Jupiter will be gone, but as the warrior planet of the cosmos he will continue to exploit the potential this has created through the middle months of the year. Yet as you move into May, Mars has just returned to a fun, playful, romantic and creatively charged part of your chart and will spend the whole of this month fighting to ensure you have the right balance between work and play. This will help to balance the scales, something that will benefit you personally and professionally. If life is all work and no play this can have a negative impact on your productivity and creativity.
This will help to ensure you have the right work/life balance when the focus starts to shift onto your relationships, starting with the Sun's return to your relationship sector on 21st May, Venus' return on 24th May and Jupiter's return on 26th May. While this is the point in each year when the Sun shifts the focus onto your relationships, it has been 12 years since the planets of love and luck have met up here. This is the start of your most important year for all your relationships in over a decade, with support from Pluto in your communication sector from the start. While you have reached an important and even game changing month on both the romantic and relationship fronts, on one front it is an acceleration of what is already there while on the other front, it is the start of something completely new. The acceleration is on the romantic front, with Mars' return to your romantic sector just as we move into the new month all of a sudden throwing fuel on the romantic flames, just as it was looking like they were dialling right back. It was less than 48 hours earlier that Venus, the planet of love not only left your romantic sector but nine days after the Sun took the solar spotlight off matters of the heart and all things romantic.Instead, the Sun and Venus have jumped ship to the busy side of life's fence while it is Mercury, in his early days in direct motion who has held onto the spirit of romance. With Mercury leaving on 16th May and his mission to give your heart a voice and to put heart and mind on the same page finally coming to an end, things should be naturally winding down. Instead, Mars' return just as you move into the new month will have the planet of passion and the warrior planet of the cosmos crying 'not so fast' as he returns for his first visit to your romantic sector in two years. Here for the whole of May, Mars will continue to fire up your romantic passions and fighting spirit.
You will get an early taste of this when the Moon moves through from 5th May to 7th May, with these romantically charged lunar vibes adding even more fuel to the romantic flame. Mars is here for the rest of the month and that includes during the start of something brand new on the relationship front. It starts with the Sun's return to your relationship sector on 21st May, something that will turn the solar spotlight onto your relationships while beginning the first planetary activity on the relationship front in nearly a year. This will be followed a few days later by Venus' return on 24th May and by Jupiter's return on 26th May. Because the Sun will always spend the first three weeks of May in your work sector, the solar spotlight is always on your work situation, job matters and options at this time each year. However, this comes as you have also moved into Jupiter, the planet of luck and expansion's final weeks here and due to leave on 26th May, the final weeks of a 12 month quest for job growth and expansion. The Sun is here until 21st May and while he won't align with Jupiter until just before leaving, as the month progresses this will put more light on both your short and long term options.Meanwhile, as you move into the new month Venus has been here for less than 48 hours and is still settling into her mission to fuel your job confidence, attract opportunities and steer things in a lucrative direction. Like the Sun, it is not until her final days that Venus will catch up and align with Jupiter, making these some of the luckiest days of the month full stop and on the job front in particular. Jupiter is the planet of luck and expansion and Venus is the planet of money, desire and attraction and when they come together anything is possible. With Venus leaving on 24th May and Jupiter on 26th May, they will be working together to get the most out of these final days here.
While this will see the pace drop back, Mercury's return on 16th May will help you to keep your head in the game, but also to regroup and get your head around the journey so far. With Mars returning on 9th June, this is far from the end of the story and it is likely that during the six weeks that the warrior planet of the cosmos is here you will experience the full potential that you have been moving towards. Until then, the Moon's return from 7th May to 9th May and the New Moon this will create will act as a trigger or a catalyst for new beginnings, as well as a chance to launch or begin anything new. When Pluto left your income sector in January and once the last of the faster planets moved through, this should have ended all planetary activity on the income side of the financial fence until later in the year. Instead, in February the dwarf planet Ceres returned for what should have been a three month visit, but instead she is not only still here but a retrograde turn on 15th May will keep her here until December. Ceres will still be here when Pluto dips back in for 11 weeks later in the year and when the faster planets come full circle for their annual visits. As well as continuing to her deep dive into your income needs and priorities, this will keep the income side of the financial fence active all year.That is especially significant this month, for with the Sun in your work sector until 21st May, Venus here until 24th May and Jupiter until 26th May, they will all form a friendly aspect as they move through. As the planet of money, Venus will be especially keen to connect with Ceres and especially as once in retrograde motion she will open the doors to the past, second chances and untapped income potential. While Ceres is not a major player, it is the company that she is keeping this month that brings her into a tight group of planets that have come together to support the Sun, Venus and Jupiter in their final weeks in your work sector and of a 12 month quest for job growth and expansion.
As you move into the new month the Moon has just left your income sector, but having spent the final two days of April here and as it was here, ensuring your nose for money was sharp when Venus, the planet of money returned to your work sector this helps to get the month off to a positive start. The Moon will come full circle from 26th May to 28th May and in time to ensure your nose for money is sharp and to act as a trigger during Jupiter's final hours in your work sector.
